Transfer Student Course Selection Guide
Prospective students often call asking two important questions. First, which courses they should be taking at their current institutions to increase their chances of acceptance to B.C. Second, which courses would most likely be accepted for credit if they are admitted and choose to enroll at Boston College. The following guides are intended to help students interested in transferring to B.C. choose their courses at other institutions. In order for
courses to be accepted they must be equal in depth and breadth to courses taught at B.C. and a grade of C or better must be achieved. Students who follow these guides will likely maximize their transferable credits if accepted.
Course descriptions for all B.C. courses can be found in the University Catalog on the B.C. website, http://www.bc.edu/publications/ucatalog/
The following majors are offered at Boston College. Please note that when applying to transfer, you must select one of the undergraduate divisions in which you wish to enroll.
