U.S. Mail: Boston College Mailing Addresses

Boston College has two primary campuses, whose mailing addresses are as follows:

Most University departments are on the Main Campus. The Law School and Law Library are the main organizational units located on the Newton Campus. A few University offices have addresses at other satellite locations.
Browse the Department Directory to determine a department's building, room, and campus location. Most departments also have web sites that specify their mailing addresses. The easiest way to find an organizational web site is via the A-Z Index of the BC web site.

Students — Mail Address Format
Boston College Mail Services has simplified the addressing of all mail and packages coming to campus. Depending on where your student lives, either one of the following addresses applies to all his/her incoming mail and packages:

Campus Telephone Numbers
The main telephone number for the University is (617) 552-8000. However, the University uses a direct inward dialing system that allows you to call directly to departments and most individuals without operator assistance.
We encourage you to look up numbers for individual students, faculty, and staff in the Communications Directory. Office phone numbers can be found in the Department Directory. Departments' listings include detail entries from their faculty and staff and often include a general fax number. There is no general University fax number. You may also want to consult our Quick Phone & Email list.
Email Addresses

There is no central University email address. Offices and organizations that have general email addresses ordinarily supply this information on their web sites.
We suggest you use the A-Z Index to locate the home page of the office you are interested in contacting. Some "group" email addresses for organizations can be found by doing a keyword search in the "mailgroups" listings of the Communications Directory. Use the pull-down menu to change the "Search in:" selection from "People" to "MailGroups". You may also want to consult our Quick Phone & Email list.
Student, Faculty, & Staff Email Addresses
To find the email address of an individual student, faculty member, or staff member, search the "People" listings in our Communications Directory. The general format of email addresses at Boston College is firstname.lastname.#@bc.edu, where # is a numeral used to make common first- and last-name combinations unique.
Alumni Directory
Boston College maintains a separate directory of contact information for our alumni who wish to share this information with one another. Access to the Alumni Directory is restricted to Boston College alumni who have registered through the Alumni Online Community.
