o        Behind the scenes before the opening of MacWorld with SVP Worldwide Marketing.

o        Later return for CEO keynote address.

o        tour of Evrett, WA manufacturing facility, the largest building in the world, where they build the 747s and other aircraft.

¡¤         Creative Labs (PC peripherals and consumer electronics)

o        AVP Marketing meeting / product demonstrations.

¡¤         Cybersource (eCommerce payment solutions)

o        CEO organizing a panel titled ¡®How the Valley Works¡¯ featuring an entrepreneur, angel investor, VC, attorney, accountant to offer perspective on process from startup to IPO.

o        Meetings with Director of Categories & Infrastructure and Category Manager - Computers.

¡¤         Intel (microprocessors)

o        Meeting with Controller, tour of D2 fab.

¡¤         Microsoft (software)

o        Meeting with senior marketer.

o        Tours of ¡°The Microsoft Home¡±, ¡°Center for Information Work¡±, and ¡°Consumer Experience Center¡±

¡¤         Network Appliance (storage)

o        Lunch with CEO.  Manufacturing tour and exec. briefing center visit with Business Development Manager.

¡¤         NUMMI (GM/Toyota JV)

o        Automobile factory tour

¡¤         Polaris Ventures (venture capital) / Impinj (RFID)

o        Meeting with Founding Partner.  Visit to Polaris portfolio firm Impinj, a pioneer in RFID technology.

¡¤         Sun (servers & workstations)

o        Meeting with Sr. Dir. Of Marketing and VP & CIO of Sun at Sun's executive briefing center.

¡¤         Tallwood Venture Partners (venture capital focusing on fabless semiconductor specialists)

o        Meeting with Partner, dinner with Tallwood staff.

¡¤         Wells Fargo (banking)

o        Meeting with Director of Product Strategy and the Director of Internet Banking.

 

Also in the works but not yet confirmed: Genentech, Pixar, Yahoo.

 

Additional events include Dinner with TechCouncil West in San Francisco, an alumni networking event in Seattle, a Napa wine tour, and a visit to the Experience Music Project / Sci-Fi Hall of Fame.
