You've found the website of the Swing
Kids, those hep cats of Boston College with jazz in our
hearts and duct tape on our shoes. Lindy, jitterbug, Charleston,
or good old east coast - whatever the flavor, show us the
floor and turn us loose.
The
BC Swing Kids are a group of undergraduate students of Boston College
to provide free swing lessons to the BC community, host multiple dances
throughout the year, and perform on BC's ArtsFest in the spring.
The true history of the
Boston College Swing Kids has been lost over the years, never again to
be found in the archives. However, since 2006, the club has
grown from a handful of members to many dozens. Last year, we
had a healthy number of both males and females, and a total of 26
members either rehearse for, or perform in, Arts Fest during the
spring. We expect this number to continue growing over the
next few years. Even if one does not wish to perform in
choreographed dances throughout the year, he or she can still come to
lessons. Who doesn't want to learn to dance?

Bash with BC, Brandeis, and BU! It was a great success and it was
nice to see plenty of new faces. We hope everyone had fun!
