On October 20th, 2003 the Boston College School of Management Government hosted an executive keynote speaker, Mr. Christopher Mansfield.  He spoke about Liberty Mutual, the areas of its business operations, the functions of the Corporate Legal Department, the issues facing the insurance industry, and offered general advices to students who are interested in pursuing business and law.  There were about 125 students who attended this event.  They included students in the Shaw Leadership Program, Pre-Law Council and many others as well.

Mr. Mansfield, member of the Massachusetts Bar, has managerial responsibility for over 700 trial attorneys, 175 paralegals and 550 support persons in 68 Field Litigation Offices in major metropolitan areas of 25 states; 44 attorneys, 9 paralegals, administrative and support personnel in the corporate legal department; and, the Public Affairs legal function of Liberty Mutual.

Mr. Mansfield graduated from Boston College in 1972 with a B.A. degree in Economics and from Boston College Law School in 1975 with a J.D. degree in Law.
