The School Chest Program of The American Red Cross Club of Boston College collects school supplies to be sent to under-privileged kids through BC’s service immersion trips. Supplies can be dropped off at any Boston College Blood Drive, CPR & First Aid Courses, or anytime to Campanella Suite 254P.
What can you donate?
- pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, pens
- plastic rulers, protractors, compasses
- chalk, chalkboard erasers
- paper - lined, plain, construction
- crayons, markers, colored pencils
- jump ropes, soccer balls, air pumps
- children’s books (especially Spanish)
- notebooks (half used is fine)
- calculators
- tape, glue, scissors
- backpacks
- functional laptops
What can i do to help?
Get involved! Contact school chest coordinator Linda Hu at hulc@bc.edu. Volunteers will come together to help:
- Design or post posters
- Collect school chest items in dorms
- Decorate Boxes to put supplies in
- Package supplies
- Organize supplies
- Plan school chest collection events
- Donate school supplies
