Submission Guidelines

  1. Papers should be submitted via email to bcmendel@gmail.com with “Bioethics Essay” in the subject box.
  2. Each paper should be submitted in Microsoft Word© format, approximately 1,500-3,500 words in length, double-spaced, and formatted using Chicago Citation Style with in text citations and a Works Cited section.
  3. Please include your full name, school, department, year of graduation, and best phone number to contact you in a header on the first page.
  4. While originality is always encouraged, we ask that the topic be relevant to the specific theme of the current issue of the journal announced in the fall prior to the annual conference. For the 2008 conference and Ethos issue, the theme will be "Cultural Considerations of Healthcare."
  5. Your submission should also educate the reader objectively on the issue, demonstrate how the issue impacts society, and outline different perspectives on the issue.
  6. The paper should present your own informed perspective on the issue as well as discuss the issue's future implications if universally implemented.
