Not all of us want to become skinny and fast. In fact, most of us just want to have fun, travel, and eat lots of great food. Throughout the year, the Running club hosts many different "special events". So, explore below to find out more about the Running Club's many offerings.

BRUNCH RUNS
These are some of the best attended, and most looked forward to events we have. Brunch Runs are a long, slow weekend run, typically 6 miles or more, followed by a great brunch at either an area restaurant, or one of the runner's apartments. From January-April, the Brunch Runs turn into our primary training run as we prepare for the Boston Marathon. Watch the YouTube video below of some of BC's finest running and eating throughout Boston for a glimpse at what these runs have to offer.

PUB RUNS
What's better than sharing a few hard-earned drinks and some food with your classmates after a workout? Pub Runs consist of a workout of some sort ot the RecPlex, and then we shower and hit the town. Don't schedule class on Fridays - these nights will definately go past your bedtime!

TRAINING WEEKENDS
You have to experience one of these weekends to understand them. Each fall, the Running Club picks a New england desination or two and we get off campus for some running, biking, swimming, hiking...well, at least that's what we plan on. Usually we spend a bit too much time at the bars on the first night, and then sleep in, eat brunch, take a nap, and play Quitar Hero the rest of the weekend. But despite the chaos that ensues, these weekends are unforgettable. Watch some highlights from past years trips below:

The 2007 "Into the Wild" trip to Loon Mountain, NH featured a Guitar Hero "Legends of the 80's" party, a bike ride up the Kankamangus Highway, and an ascent of Mt. Chocorua. The BU Triathlon Team joined us for the fun as well!:

The 2007 trip to New Platz, NY featured mountain biking through the Shawanagunk Mountains, and some ill-advised swims under 200 foot waterfalls in freezing cold glacial lakes:

The 2006 Trip to Stowe, VT featured some great hiking in the snow, and 'body surfing' on the way down!:
