April 4 & 5, 2009 BC CLUB GOLF PLACES SECOND IN NCCGA NEW ENGLAND REGIONAL TOURNAMENT |
The Boston College Club Golf Team placed second in the 2009 NCCGA New England Regional Tournament this weekend at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park, NY. The team faced cold weather, strong winds, and heavy rain, and was unforunately unable to gain their second straight bid to the NCCGA National Championship Tournament. BC Club Golf, in conjunction with BC Club Sports, is supporting the Relay for Life at Boston College by participating in the event on February 13, 2009 at 6PM, and by selling "Club Sports Beating Cancer" t-shirts (see below). The event lasts twelve hours, and your participation is needed! |

The Boston College Club Golf Team is currently preparing for the upcoming season with indoor practice inside the Alumni Stadium Bubble. After three years as President, Ben Kelly has handed over the reigns of the club to Joe Foley and his cabinet. The Jan. 2009 Update introduces the new officers and introduces a Club-Sports-wide initiative to raise funds for the Relay for Life at Boston College on February 13, 2009. The inagural BC Club Golf Fall Cup was a two-month long, bracket-style match play tournament. Split into two divisions, the Scratch Division and Bogey Division, Club Golf members played opponents semi-weekly until the finals in November. The Boston College Club Golf Team hosted the Second Annual Two-Person Scramble at Newton-Commonwealth Golf Course on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00PM. Reception, dinner, and awards followed on campus. The Boston College Club Golf Team hosted the NCCGA New England Regional Tournament at Norton Country Club in Norton, MA on September 20th and 21st. The team took second place to the University of Pennsylvania Golf Club. |

Current Club Golf Team Members and those wishing to join the club for the first time can do so by attending our general meeting and filling out all of the appropriate paperwork. SEPTEMBER 15th, 8PM in HIGGINS 300 CLUB SPORTS PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT Please print out both the Sign Up and Order Form and the Club Sports Participation Agreement. Both will be needed to sign up for the club. Only those students having completed the two forms and having paid dues will be eligible.

The Boston College Club Golf Team traveled to Virginia to participate in thie year's NCCGA National Championship Tournament in Providence Forge at The Tradition at Royal New Kent Golf Club. The team qualified for a National Championship birth this Spring with a First Place finish in the New England Regional at Crosswinds Golf Club in Plymouth, MA, and took a Fifth Place finish in the National Championship.** Results: Eastern

| Oct 27, 2007 CLUB GOLF TWO-PERSON SCRAMBLE RESULTS |
The inagural Boston College Club Golf Fall Two-Person Scramble Championship went off successfully, despite the threatening weather, on Saturday, October 27, 2007. Thirteen teams tee'd it up Saturday afternoon, and seven of those teams came home with scores in the 50s for a reduced round of fourteen holes (due to darkness). Results:

GOLF TAKES SECOND PLACE AT NCCGA |
The Boston College Club Golf Team, represented by Ben Kelly, Joe Foley, Brian Kulick, Ted Schwartz, and Chris Harlen, took second place in the New England Regional Tournament held at the Yale University Golf Course. The second place finish earned the team a birth in the NCCGA Northern Conference Championships.
