The GFA hosted a CFA Info Session. David M. Hetherington, CFA discussed many of the challenges of preparing for the CFA exams with interested students.

The GFA hosted a CFA Info Session with Mr. Andrew Bret Schneider (Director of Sales for Kaplan Schweser). Mr. Bret Schneider discussed topics related to the CFA exams, the Kaplan Schweser CFA materials and answered questions from students.
March 2008
The GFA made its first Company Visit to the headquarters of John Hancock. The two hour visit included presentations by a Portfolio Manager, a Trader and a Credit Analyst.

The GFA hosted another successful Alumni-Student Breakfast Networking Event at the BC Club. Mr. Charles Clough, Chairman of Clough Capital Partners and BC Alum, presented his views on the financial markets.

Graduate Finance Association hosted a successful Alumni-Student Networking Session and Speaker Event.
The Carroll School Graduate Finance Association (GFA) welcomed Les Otten - successful entrepreneur and Vice-Chairman of the Boston Red Sox - to the BC Club on April 6th, 2006.
In front of an audience of current graduate students and alumni, Mr. Otten described his experiences as an entrepreneur in the skiing and baseball industries, and finished up with a presentation of his new marketing venture based on fan loyalty to sports teams before taking questions.

The Graduate Finance Association organized its first Alumni- Student Breakfast Networking Event for the year 2006-2007.
This event is an informal breakfast meeting that enables a select group of MSF alumni and current MSF students to meet and listen to high quality speeches presented by prominent guest speakers.
This breakfast is now a tradition within the Masters of Finance Program and a popular event among the program's Alumni. We were honored to have Professor Alicia Munnell as our keynote speaker for our first event.
