Eagle EMS in association with EMSA is proud to offer an Emergency Medical Technician Basic training class in the spring semester. This 140-hour intensive course prepares students to take the written and practical EMT exams issued by the state of Massachusetts. Description:
The 24-hour EMT-Refresher course is a review of the skills and knowledge covered in the EMT-Basic course. Attendance in an EMT-Refresher course and successful completion of practical testing every two years is required by the state to maintain EMT certification. In addition to reviewing core curriculum, the EMT-Refresher course is used as a vehicle to inform participants of changes in emergency care such as new equipment, current research, or issues of general concern to EMS providers. The course consists of a combination of study at home material, and one 9-5 day of practical skills in class.
