EMT-B Spring 2015 Class
This year, Boston College EMS is proud to offer another Spring EMT-B course! This program will prepare students to take the written and practical EMT exams issued by the state of Massachusetts. Students will learn all aspects of pre-hospital emergency care for illness and injuries. The class will cover topics including, but not limited to, CPR and AED use, general pharmacology, patient assessment and management, ambulance operations, and ethical issues.
Spring Session Class days/times:
Mondays: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Tuesdays: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Sundays: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm,
Set to begin Tuesday, January 20 and end Sunday, April 26.
If you are interested in taking this course, please fill out our official application found below. Please read the directions thoroughly to ensure that you are aware of all fees and course requirements. The last day to register for the course is Tuesay, Januray 13, 2015.
We will also be holding an EMT-B course during the summwe semester. More information will be available shortly. A previous syllabus, for reference purposes, can be viewed here.
The course will be taught by EMS Academy. The cost of the course is $1000.00, which includes a $200.00 nonrefundable deposit, a $125.00 nonrefundable textbook fee, and the cost of the class. Those who complete the course will be eligible to take the EMT-B Certification Exam, however completion of the course does not guarantee acceptance to Boston College EMS.
