CPR/Heartsaver First Aid
Eagle EMS offers a variety of American Heart Association CPR classes classes not only to its members but to the entire university community. A list of upcoming scheduled classes are on the right, however if you, your club, or department would like to schedule a class, please feel free to contact the Community Education Coordinator at EagleEMSCommEd@gmail.com.

All of the CPR on the dates listed will be the Healthcare Provider Class. If a group wishes to have the Heartsaver CPR & AED class taught, they should contact the Community Education Coordinator to organize it.

Heart Association HCP CPR – Required of all Eagle EMS Members
Time: Various Times/Dates. Course is approximately 4 hours

Description:
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course (BCLS) covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use off the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. This course is designed for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, and nurses, who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course, or to others, who wish to learn the most in-depth version of CPR available.
**This course satisfies the requirements for BC nursing students and Eagle EMS members.
American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR & AED
Time: Various Times/Dates. Course is approximately 2.5 hours long
Description:
Depending on the exact course, Heartsaver CPR teachers CPR and the relief of chocking in adults, children, and infants, the use of barrier devices, and in some courses the use of an automated external defibrillator. This course is an intermediate CPR course, intended for those interested in learning CPR, want more then the family friends level, or need a certification card for a job/organization.
**This course DOES NOT satisfy the CPR requirements for BC nursing students or Eagle EMS Members

Description:
Eagle EMS will be hosting Heartsaver First Aid classes this coming fall semester for $45. After a single 4-hour session, you can become certified in critical skills that are vital to responding to and managing an emergency. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies.
