How to Apply
 





























Eligibility requirements:
  • You must be registered as a psychology major or minor.
  • You must be at least a second semester sophomore.
  • You must have completed three psychology courses.
  • You must rank in the top 35% of your class (ALL of BC, not just A&S) in general scholarship.

The top 35% cutoffs are subject to change*, but the current semesters cutoffs
have been:
  • Class of 2012: GPA equal to or above 3.575
  • Class of 2013: GPA equal to or above 3.532
  • Class of 2014: GPA equal to or above 3.516
  • Class of 2015: GPA equal to or above 3.519
*Please note that these numbers are only to give you an idea of where the GPA
cutoffs have been in the past, but are subject to change as new grades come in.
If you don’t see the most recent semester’s cutoffs posted here and your GPA is
close to the posted cutoffs, you may want to email us to make sure you are still
eligible!
As a psychology major, you may be eligible for membership in Psi Chi, The National Honor Society in Psychology.  Membership in Psi Chi offers not only a place in the national organization, but in the Boston College Psi Chi Society as well.  As a Psi Chi member at BC, you will have access to important resources and programs that will help expand your psychology major beyond the classroom.  Our events this year will include a peer advising session, psychology honors program information session, and a panel of BC psychology major alumni.
