Boston College Figure Skating Club

Intercollegiate Figure Skating

The intercollegiate figure skating aspect of BCFSC involves skaters competing individually while representing Boston College Figure Skating Club. There is freestyle ice available 3-4 mornings a week at Conte Forum. This is covered by the BCFSC budget allowing skaters to skate how ever much they desire. Skaters can compete in any or all of the 3 collegiate competitions, in either freestyle or dance, where they will earn points for BC. The top 3 colleges with the most points at the end of the season qualify for nationals. Skaters choose to skate at their own competitive level. There is very little cost associated with freestyle skating at Boston College, as skaters are only responsible for paying for their travel to competitions and hotels if needed. Skaters provide their own music and wardrobe and help to coach each other on the freestyle ice.
