Freshman Academy

What is Freshman Academy?

The Freshman Academy is a program that brings together the next generation of leaders and prepares them for future leadership positions by helping its members enhance their interpersonal skills and expose them to the daily operations of the culture clubs. More importantly, the Freshman Academy serves as place for establishing relationships and networks with other student leaders on campus.

How did it start?

Asian Caucus has historically been known as the “Umbrella” organization of the Asian Culture Clubs. However, this title did not represent what Asian Caucus stands for. Asian Caucus exists for the unification and the betterment of all the individual Asian Culture Clubs. Therefore, in 2006, Asian Caucus threw away its title as the “umbrella” organization and adopted the image of the “glue” organization of the Asian Culture Clubs. This revamping of the meaning of Asian Caucus gave birth to Freshman Academy. Freshman Academy sought to expose the potential leaders to the new image and goal of Asian Caucus.
