From Mind to Mic
From Mind to Mic was created by one of our former Co-Executives, Andy Song (AC 05-06, A&S 07) in 2005. It's purpose was to celebrates Asian American artists and musicians. In our first year, Asian Caucus was graced by the presence of Mr. Giles Li, Vudoo Soul, and The Blue Scholars.
Following that year, the Community Relations Chair of 06-07, Minwoo Ji brought back Vudoo Soul along with The Ides and Kevin So.
Each year, Mind to Mic tries to destroy Asian stereotypes through self-expression and musical talents. Last year, Christine Choi brought a giant stage full with Passion, Joy Tolention, Niko Villamor, Jay Legaspi, and Matt Sia.
From Mind to Mic continues to celebrate our diverse Asian American identites.
