New C21/Crossroad Volumes TAKE HEART:CATHOLIC WRITERS ON HOPE IN OUR TIME
edited by Ben Birnbaum
Thirty prominent Catholic writers reflect on where they find and sustain hope in their lives. These reflections draw on a wide range of sourcesfrom reason, love, anger, prayer, and humor, to inspirational figures such as Dorothy Day, Flannery OConnor, and Pope John Paul IIin illuminating the battle against despair that is always at work in religious faith.

VOICES OF THE FAITHFUL: LOYAL CATHOLICS STRIVING FOR CHANGE
by William D'Antonio and Anthony Pogorelc, Catholic University of America
This volume presents original research on the history, religious beliefs, practices, and attitudes of the Voice of the Faithful (VOTF), a group of devout, active, and loyal Catholics that originated in the Boston area. The authors show that VOTF represents educated and energetic people of faith with deep roots in Catholicism and tradition. The authors also introduce assessments of VOTF from respected historians and theologians. This volume makes for challenging and inspiring reading for anyone interested in Church reform.
