C21 Book series
In November, 2006, four more volumes of the C21 books series were released by Crossroad Publishing Company: Sexuality and the U.S. Catholic Church: Crisis and Renewal, edited by Lisa Sowle Cahill, John Garvey, and T. Frank Kennedy, S.J.; Handing on the Faith: The Church's Mission and Challenge, edited by Fr. Robert Imbelli; Priests for the 21st Century, edited by Donald Dietrich; and Inculturation and the Church in North America, edited by T. Frank Kennedy, S.J. The books can be ordered through the Boston College bookstore.

Bishop Gerald Kicanas of Tucson
On Wednesday, November 1, Bishop Gerald Kicanas of Tucson, Arizona, visited Boston College and gave an address on the future of ministry in the Catholic Church. In addition, he met with faculty of the Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry (IREPM) to discuss how the 2005 US Bishops' document "Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord: A Resource for Guiding the Development of Lay Ecclesial Ministry" might inform the IREPM curriculum. The bishop's address is available for viewing on the C21 website.

Kerry Cronin at Agape Latte
On Tuesday, November 7, Kerry Cronin of the Philosophy Department and Lonergan Center addressed a full house at the monthly undergraduate series "Agape Latte," cosponsored by C21 and Campus Ministry. (See video of the talk on the "Student Corner" section of the C21 website.) Her talk, and the visit of Archbishop J. Michael Miller of the Vatican's Congregation for Catholic Education on September 11, were featured in a Boston Globe story on the ways that Boston College and other universities are seeking to address questions about their relationship to the Catholic Church today.

Women's series
On Monday, November 13, C21 hosted an event titled "How Women Live out Being Catholic: Sharing Our Stories." The event featured Pat DeLeeuw, Vice Provost; Patricia Casey, Maguire Associates, A&S ?75; Sheila McMahon, Director of the Women's Resource Center; and Kara Cherniga ?07. This was the first of three scheduled events in the Women's series this academic year.

Michael Himes lecture
On Thursday, November 30, Michael Himes of the Department of Theology presented a lecture entitled "Finding out what we Believe: The "Sense of the Faithful" in 19th Century Catholic Theology," cosponsored with the Lonergan Workshop.
