Leadership 101

To complement the emphasis on ideas and ideals they encounter in their Honors Seminars, in their discussions with visiting speakers, and in their summer programs, Presidential Scholars also participate in a series of evening workshops promoting the students' effectiveness as leaders. The sessions focus on a variety of leadership skills, such as time and stress management; professionalism; public speaking; information retrieval and research; proposal writing; committee and meeting leadership; and fellowship and internship searches. Colleagues from within the BC community assist us by running these workshops which expose Scholars to various professionals on campus who can help Scholars in a variety of ways during their time at BC.
