Read Boston Program
the neighborhood center
The Read Boston Program, a local chapter of the national America Reads Program, is a children's literacy campaign whose mission is to promote literacy among Boston's elementary age students.
BC students (graduate and undergraduate) who receive work-study funds serve as tutors at local elementary schools.
The average student works three to six hours per week with one or more children and will receive training.
Please be reminded that you must have work study eligibility to participate in the Read Boston Program. If you are unsure, you can check your workstudy status on the Agora Portal.
PLEASE NOTE: The program is at full capacity, therefore, we are NOT accepting additional Read Boston applications for Spring 2012 semester.
If you have questions, please e-mail our Read Boston Coordinator, Kaitlyn Carrick.
