Read Boston Program

The Read Boston Program, a local chapter of the national America Reads Program, is a children's literacy campaign whose mission is to promote literacy among Boston's elementary age students.

BC students (graduate and undergraduate) who receive work-study funds serve as tutors at local elementary schools.

The average student works three to six hours per week with one or more children and will receive training.

Please be reminded that you must have work study eligibility to participate in the Read Boston Program. If you are unsure, you can check your workstudy status on Agora.

If interested, please fill out the Read Boston Application and the CORI Application.
Due to overwhelming response to the Read Boston program, we are no longer accepting applications for the Fall 2009 semester.

If you have questions, please e-mail Grace Little at the Neighborhood Center.
