English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)Program

the neighborhood center

The Neighborhood Center sponsors English for Speakers of Other Languages classes at the Center and in the Allston-Brighton community. Boston College volunteers teach the weekly two hour classes. Experience teaching or tutoring English is beneficial but not necessary as training is provided. The classes average 8-10 weeks per semester. A commitment of a year is recommended. This is a great opportunity for language and education majors. If you are interested, please fill out the ESOL Tutor Application.
