Elderly Outreach

the neighborhood center

The Center works with organizations in the Allston-Brighton community that sponsor programs for the elderly. There are opportunities for volunteers to visit regularly one on one with an elder. Additionally, volunteers are needed to assist elderly residents in the Allston-Brighton community with yard work and/or shoveling snow throughout the fall, winter and spring. If you are interested in volunteering in our Elderly Outreach program please fill out the Volunteer Form and the CORI Application.

Starting in the fall of 2008, the Neighborhood Center will be partnering with Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly - Boston to match Boston Collge volunteers with elders through their program.  To find out more information and/or to become a volunteer, contact Sara Shreve, Director of Volunteers, Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly, Boston.
