Help Educate Through Athletic Responsibility (H.E.A.R.) Program
Each semester Boston College student athletes visit public and parochial elementary schools in Allston-Brighton to mentor children. Athletes act as role models for students in the schools by interacting with, encouraging and motivating children to work hard in school, follow their dreams and never give up.
Food for Families Program
Until the partnership ended in 2016, on a monthly basis, BC student athletes helped package and distribute 250 bags of groceries supplied by the Greater Boston Food Bank to needy families at the Commonwealth Housing Development.
Moe Maloney Service Award
This service award was created by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee in 2005, in honor of former Boston College Baseball Coach and current Assistant Director of Boston College Neighborhood Center, Moe Maloney. Each year it awarded to the top male and female athletes in regards to their community service involvement.
