Study Abroad in Ireland
Boston College's Office of International Programs works closely with Irish Studies to offer study abroad programs at Irish universities in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Maynooth and Galway. Students interested in the BC Study Abroad programs should contact the Office of International Programs (617-552-3827 or email email@example.com).
MA&S students may study at NUI Galway either during the fall semester, or for a full academic year. All BC students who attend University College Cork (UCC) in the Fall semester are required to participate in the Early Start Program at UCC. During the spring semester students will take an Irish Studies course taught by the BC on-site coordinator in Ireland.
Those who participate in the Dublin area programs (Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, and NUI Maynooth) will take an Irish Studies class taught by the BC on-site coordinator in both fall and spring semesters. It is strongly recommended that students accepted for study abroad in Ireland meet with BC Irish Studies faculty for advising and curriculum planning before registering for courses in Ireland.
Courses that meet the prerequisite requirement are marked wiith an asterisk (*) on the Irish Studies course listing page.
