The Irish Institute at Boston College is pleased to have hosted the 2002 Developing Managers Program on behalf of the Management Institute at the University of Ulster. Building on the sucess of the first and second Developing Managers Programs, the University of Ulster again contacted the Irish Institute to administer the American component of the Management Institute's 9 month long program. The Boston component is designed to expose participants to international standards and examples of best practice, develop international networking links and provide the underpinning knowledge required move up in managerial responsibility.
While in Boston, the participants attended graduate-level seminars led by members of the Boston College Carroll School of Management. In addition, they made several site-visits to innovative and successful industry leaders across Massachusetts. Several issues including marketing, customer service, innovation, strategy, employee/employer relations and community relations were the focus of these visits.
