United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
Since its founding the Irish Institute has worked closely with the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in Washington D.C. to deliver exchange programs for Ireland and Northern Ireland. As part of its ongoing commitment to quality programming, the Irish Institute maintains close cooperation and consultation with the U.S. Embassy in Dublin and the U.S. Consulate in Belfast.
Carroll School of Management at Boston College
Involvement of faculty and administrators from Boston College's Carroll School of Management in programs for business leaders in Ireland and Northern Ireland predates the formal founding of the Irish Institute and its predecessor, the Center for Irish Management. Recent collaborations have broadened the international focus to other European countries, with the Carroll School and the Irish Institute providing the International Strategic Management module of two leading executive MBA programs in Austria.
University of Ulster’s Business Institute
Since 2001, the Irish Institute has partnered with the Business Institute at the University of Ulster to deliver the international component of the Developing Managers Program. In 2005 the partnership will expand to include the American component of the MSc in Executive Leadership and the Sustainable Futures Program, a diploma in Strategic Development for Directors and Senior Executives in Community and Voluntary Sector Organizations.
Mediation Northern Ireland
In the fall of 2003 the Irish Institute partnered with Mediation Northern Ireland, an independent center of excellence in mediation and other methods of conflict intervention, to bring a group of senior policing officials and community representatives to Boston for a week of dialogue around Community Policing.
Coleraine Borough Council
In October 2003 the Irish Institute welcomed officials from Coleraine Borough Council and surrounding district councils for a customized two-week program which focused on best practice in local government administration and service delivery.
American Ireland Fund
The Irish Institute has an ongoing relationship with the American Ireland Fund and the International Fund for Ireland. From 1997 to 1999, the Irish Institute hosted the American Ireland Fund Fellowship for eight and ten week programs concentrating on management education, international work experience, and career development.
