Following completion of her BA, Claire earned a full-time Masters in American Studies at UCD, where her main focus was on American literature and culture, namely 20th century literature and film and the Harlem Renaissance. She is currently undertaking a PhD at De Montfort University in Leicester, England, focusing on Irish emigrant letters in the late 19th century.

Claire joined the staff of Boston College-Ireland in 2008. As Programmes Coordinator, she is responsible for creating and managing the various cultural and social programming for the OIP summer courses in particular, and for other scheduled classes and events throughout the year. Claire provides both generous as well as professional support to visiting faculty and to the students.

She has also assisted Dr. Roisin Higgins on the Irish Sporting Heritage Project, which is a project funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and aims to record past and present sporting sites throughout Ireland.
