Interns receive an orientation upon arrival at BC-Ireland and our support throughout their eight-week placement. Students live in university accomodation and have the opportunity to travel throughout Ireland and Europe while they are here. Host organisations include federal and local governmental departments, commercial and non-profit institutions.

Irish Institute
Boston College-Ireland supervises all recruitment and follow-up support associated with the Congressionally sponsored, US Department of State-monitored federal grants run by the Irish Institute at Boston College in/for Ireland and Northern Ireland. The University's permanent base in Ireland remains a key attraction for this prestigious congressional appropriation, secured in large part because BC has a functioning office in and long-term commitment to Ireland.
