October 6, 2008 Meeting Update
Our first Student Advisory Panel meeting of the year set us off to a great start. We discussed a number of things the panel would like to address this year:
- Local elections, particularly question #1, which would repeal income tax in Massachusetts
- How does religion affects Boston College's public life?
- Who are the Jesuits, and what is their activist tradition?
- Environmental ethics
- Religion and education
What would you like to add?
Upcoming Meetings
Want to discuss the local elections? When would be a good meeting time? Anyone have expertise they would like to share in that area?
There was some talk about meeting again after the election and the Boisi Center's Election Roundtable. A November 7 lunch and discussion at the Boisi Center was proposed. Are members interested in this? Is a different time better?
