Garfield School Literacy Day

In a community service commitment that began this year, ruggers joined athletes from other BC club and varsity teams at the Garfield Elementary School for the school's annual literacy day. Captain Sean Hanel, VP Steve Petteruti, as well as Matthew Quigg, Steve and Andrew Walsh, and Paul Mueller, Community Service Secretary, went into classes ranging from the first to the fifth grade to read to the students, answer their questions, and spend quality time with children from the community around Boston College. The day was a success, and both the Garfield students and BC athletes enjoyed themselves and each other's company. This program has potential to grow in the years to come.
