The 6th Annual Latino Family Weekend

Latino Family Weekend (LFW) was founded in February 2005 to answer to a needed sense of camaraderie among Latino families at Boston College. Upon its creation, OLAA members thought that the most important aspect of our community had been missing within our annual events: the invaluable strength and support of family.
The weekend recognizes the two pillars of OLAA: unity and progress. Students and their family members are able to come together and embark on a weekend of social, educational, and intellectual advancement.
Together, these families enjoy a catered dinner, highlighted by a keynote speaker on the Friday night they arrive. Panel discussions on Saturday create a dialogue about the Latino experience in B.C. and nationwide. A highlight of the weekend and the year is OLAA's annual Culture Show, an expression of Latin art and dance produced by student talent.
OLAA will celebrate the fourth year of Latino Family Weekend in hopes of continuing the spirit of the Latino community on campus.
Make sure to RSVP with the number of people you are bringing to OLAA@bc.edu.
