| Welcome to Boston College
Hillel!
The Hillel of Boston College helps to serve the social, cultural and religious needs of the small but active group of Jewish students who attend BC as well as inform the rest of BC what it means to be Jewish.
Boston College began in 1863 as a small Jesuit college for young men. It is now an internationally renowned university with a culturally, religiously and ethnically diverse coeducational student body of about 9,000 undergraduates and 5,000 graduate students. The BC faculty is similarly diverse, with committed individuals from each department and from the surrounding Jewish communities in Newton, and Brookline.
BC connects to the greater Boston Jewish communities as a part of Hillel Council of New England. Hillel Council brings together students from all over New England, with BC students participating in local, national, and international trips and conferences.
