Hillel
Advisor: Elissa Klein |
 |
Elissa Klein works for Hillel Council
of New England as the Director of Jewish Life at Boston College. When she's not meeting
with students or planning ridiculously awesome events, Elissa likes to paint and to make
others cook for her. Elissa is available on campus most Wednesdays and all week by phone,
email, or Facebook. Please stop by or drop her a line! |
President: Innessa Kipnis |
| Innessa (aka Inna) is orginially from
both Ukraine and, more recently, Chicago. She is a Biology major and Women's Studies minor
here at BC. When she's not hidden away somewhere studying, her favorite activities include
playing with her toy poodle, experimenting with fruit flies, and counting down the minutes
until the next Shabbat when she can see everyone in Hillel again <3 |

Co-Vice President: Daniel
Berkowitz |
 |
Dan: I don't really know what to put for the bio. I was born and raised in Aurora,
Colorado right outside of Denver. I moved to Austin, Texas right after middle school and
graduated from Akins High School in 2007. At Boston College I'm involved in Intramural
Basketball, the BC College Bowl Trivia Team and the Fulton Debating Society in addition to
being the Co-Vice-President of Hillel. In my spare time I like playing fantasy sports
(specifically football and hockey), hanging out with friends, and watching all sorts of
TV, but especially Food Network.

Co-Vice President: Leon
Ratz |
Leon Ratz currently serves as a co-Vice President of BC Hillel. His primary
responsibilities with Hillel include liaising with affiliated faculty and BC academic
programs, coordinating Admissions outreach, and helping to represent BC Hillel at
University functions and community events. Leon is an international studies major in the
class of 2011 with a concentration in political science and a minor in Economics. On
campus, he is also involved with the Student Admissions Program and the local student
group of Amnesty International. He currently serves on several committees and working
groups with the global human rights movement, Amnesty International. In his spare time,
Leon enjoys playing ping pong with his friends, listening to the Beatles, and surfing
Wikipedia. |

Secretary: Jessie Hartman |
 |
Jessie is so cool, she doesn't need a bio! But since she has to have one she feels
that she must say she is from Chappaqua, New York. She is a junior in the college of
Arts and Sciences with a double major in Philosophy and Psychology. She works in a
psych ward which was the perfect preparation for dealing with the rest of Hillel. |
Treasurer: Andrea Dropkin |
| Hi! My name is Andrea and I am the
Treasurer for BC Hillel. I'm a Junior in the Caroll School of Management and I am from
just around the corner in Newton, MA. My favorite color is yellow and I have been told
that I have really bad taste in music. Please contact me if you have any questions! |

|
Social and Cultural Chair:
Sophie Silverberg |
 |
Sophie is a junior with a double
major in Early Childhood Education and Theare. She was born and raised in the
greatest city in the world: New York. When she's not having fun with Hillel she is
doing student teaching with a pre-K class in Boston. She loves Taylor Swift,
musicals, chocolate and the colors pink, blue and purple. |
|
Interfaith Coordinator:
Marlena Papavaritis |
|
 |
|
Public Relations / Freshmen
Representative: Natan Smolensky |
 |
Natan is a freshmen. We like him
anyway. |
|
Reslife Representative:
Dave Lippman |
| Dave is an English and Philosophy
double major from Rochester, New York. He can lift 200 lbs. over his head with incredible
ease and served His Majesty with great honor until he went mad. He is also known to be
very helpful towards lost dogs. He now spends much of his time working as an RA, writing
nihilistic fiction, lifting heavy objects, and drinking tea. |

Webmaster: Stephanie
Buscher |
 |
Stephanie is the webmaster of this
webpage. She likes hammocks, awkward situations, making inappropriate comments,
lurking, and shiney things. Her future plans include writing a novel that tops the New
York Times Top 10, ruling the world for atleast two consecutive days, and learning to
double-dutch. She's from Boston, MA and thus is wicked pissah. She can whistle the
entirety of the 1812 Overture and likes crime dramas. |
