History

In 1865, two years after Boston College was founded, a group of students performed the show Joseph and His Brethern. Thus the Dramatics Society was born, making it the oldest student-run organization on campus. The DS spent the next 142 years (wow) producing everything from Shakespeare to original plays written by students. Below we have a partially comprehensive list of the shows produced by the DS over the past seven academic years. More information is on the way!
