Sarah Lang
(A Fictional Interview between God and Slang) GOD: So Sarah, tell me a little about yourself. Sometimes I get so busy up here I can't keep up with my favorite gal. SLANG: Well God, between downing about 7 cups of coffee a day, I take far too many classes, I am the Technical Director of the DS, and a member of COM.* I performed in the Contemporary Theater's production of New Brain (where I played a mother) and am an electrics work study student for one Jeff Adelberg. I am also currently in rehearsals for the workshop production of Getting Out (in which I am not playing a mother). GOD: Wow hunny, that IS a lot to have accomplished in four years! SLANG: Sorry, years? This is what I've done in the past four months. GOD: QUE?!?! SLANG: Yup. My freshman year I was in The Memory of Water and I was the Master Electrician of A.R.T... in addition to the massive amounts of coffee. GOD: Well Sarah Elizabeth Lang, since I'm God (and I can do these things) I will take away one thing from your life to give you more time and make it less stressful. What do you want it to be? SLANG: Oh perfect! Could you take away my need to sleep? That would really free up some free time for me in the morning, thanks. *Council of Majors for the Theatre Department |
