Now that the new century has come, the need for
talented and
diversified workers to fill in job openings has been
in great demand. Here comes
an excellent opportunity and good news for all Asian
and non-Asian job
candidates!

The Sixth Nationwide Asian American Career Fair
2000(AACF 2000) will be
held at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT),
Chicago on Tuesday, May
9, 2000.

Since 1996, the AACF has been trying it's best to
strengthen the link
between Asian students and professionals in the U.S.
and employers that
have operations, partnerships, or marketing
initiatives in the
students' home countries and/or in Asian American
communities. For several
years, we've helped a lot of candidates find ideal
jobs.

Like AACF '96,'97, '98 and '99, all the services of
AACF 2000 for job
applicants, including admission, parking, resume/legal
consulting as
well as workshops, will be free. The cost for entering
your resume in the
AACF 2000 Resume Database CD will be free too.

How do you register for participating in the AACF
2000?
1. Write a brief introduction of yourself:
a. Your Personal Information, your Position
Preference, and your
Education or Work experience
b. You and AACF (Optional): answer the following
questions:
-Have you ever joined any AACF before?
-Do you plan to participate in the AACF2000 in
person?
-Do you want to recommend some companies to join this
event?
c. Your visa status (Optional): Citizen, PR, F-1, or
others.

Email this (not resume, please) to: amazhang@anet.com
with
"Register-AACF 2000" as the subject of your email.

2. If you have Internet access, sign up and enter your
resume on our
website at
www.asianmarketadv.com/aacf. It will let your resume
to be included in
the AACF 2000 Resume Database CD. After the event, the
CD will be
distributed to the companies, which attended and/or
ordered this database.

Everybody will be welcome to attend the AACF 2000,
even if you didn't
register. However, the participating companies' list
and/or job
openings, as well as the workshop schedule, will be
announced via email only to
the registered candidates.

One of the sponsors of the event, Chicago China News &
Digest (CCND-
ZhiJiaGe HuaYu LunTan), a free Chinese newspaper
mainly targeting Chinese
students and professionals, will publish all the
information on the
AACF 2000.

If you have any questions regarding this fair, or you
want to be a
volunteer or part time staff for the AACF 2000, or if
you have any comments

Invitation For The First East USA Chinese Basket Ball
Tournament on March 5 (2/22)
Dear members,

BC CSSA was invited to paticipate a basketball
tournament in Connecticut on March 5. I believe it is
a good chance to enjoy the start of the spring break
and meet new or old friend in the east US. I do hope
we could have our own team. If you feel interested in
this activity, please contact me ASAP so that I can
count the number. The most important thing is not your
technique, but your enthusiasm. If we cannot get 6
people, it is still not impossible to try to
paticipate other groups from MIT or BU.

Best wishes!

Wang Mietian

Hi Folks,

I just asked Cambridge Center for Chinese Culture
about the passport change affair. They told me, in
fact, it is just to help the people whose passports
has been out of date, so not an old-to-new form
exchange.

Dear Folks,

Here I attach our Treasurer FU Ying's address and the
information of a Taiwan fundation for the earthquake
relief, which is the best I know up to now (the former
one is hold by Americans with about 10% tax, so I
neglect it). If you would like to show your love to
the Taiwan people who suffered the horrible
earthquake, please send your checks to Ying in a week,
with the mark "Taiwan Earthquake Relief" on, then he
can send a BCCSSA check to the fundation and make a
whole list of your name and how much you donated to
paste on our website <http://www.bc.edu/cssa>.

Hope to see you on the party tomorrow! Also welcome to
go to the city hall square to view the National Flag
Lifting Ceremany on Sunday. Have a nice weekend!
