Acoustics Florida Tour 2002 - Part II

January 7, 2002
The weather wasn't so hot today, actually it was a bit rainy, but we ventured out to Orlando to visit some alums and hit up Islands of Adventure. We saw Tony and Jualianna (01) and hung out with them a bit. We got to sing some of our new songs for them right in the middle of the Safari Hotel, a bit scary, but fun! Also the lines were really short @ Islands of Adventure so we got to go on all the rides, even the water ones...great idea...haha! The troopers who went on the water rides froze since it was so windy, but it was worth it dammit! After we dried up we went to the MOTOWN resturant fr some good food and some old fashioned kareoking!

The Acoustics woke up bright and early and performed @ Blake HS, a performing arts High School. We showcased some of our more popular songs and the audience seemed to enjoy it. After some quick packing we headed to wards Palm Beach County and sang @ Cityplace, another outdoor venue. It was beautiful there, but it was a little too cold. We ended that night with dinner at Cheesecake Facoty, courtesy of Caitlin's aunt. Thanks again!

We had the chance to perform @ Caitlin's elementary school, Gulfstream, that morning and it was a lot of fun. We met alot of kids who were interested in a cappella and appreciated our more popular repetoire, but then again what kid doesn't know BYE BYE BYE! That night we sang @ the Hillsborough Club, a country club near Caitlin's home. It was a more intimate concert, but fun none the less. That night, the ultimate Acoustics tradition of Questions was played. What an interesting night...hehe..

Today we sang @ St. Andrew's, Caitlin's high school, in a beautiful chapel. The kids looked a bit confused at first, but I think we won them over in the end. That night we sang at a benefit in the Sundy House, an outdoor/indoor resturant with a jungle theme. It was interesting...yea...interesting. :-)

On our last day of tour we headed towards the beach and it was absolutely beautiful out. After getting some decent sun, we headed to our last gig at a bar ironically named Boston's. The crowd was great that night and it was perfect ending to our trip.

We want to thank the Watsons and the Morrells for hosting us and all the contacts for all our gigs. It was a great experiance had by all!
