Women's Lunch Place
Placement
4Boston students are involved in many aspects of the Lunch Place's direct service including assisstance with breakfast and lunch preparation, service, and clean-up. A large part of the volunteers' role is simply hanging out with and befriending the women of the Lunch Place. Volunteers with special skills are especially encourage to apply as help is needed with activities such as manicure day or bingo night. Volunteers sign up for a time to go to the Place online each week.
4Boston's Role
Meal Program: Volunteers are responsible for helping with meal preparation, serving the food to the guests, and cleaning up when the meal is over.
Resource Room: Volunteers are responsible for opening/closing the room and assisting the guests with any questions they have.Hours
One 4 hour shift or two 2 hour shifts from Monday - Saturday 7 AM - 2:30 PM
