Although the mission of 4Boston remains unchanging, we dedicate each year to a particular theme which captures the spirit of what it means to be a part of 4Boston. The theme is announced at the start of each year.
2011-2012 - "Ripples of Hope" from Robert F. Kennedy's words, "Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
2009-2010 - "Let us not tire of preaching love; it is the force that will overcome the world." from the words of Óscar Romero
2008-2009 - "Move Your Feet" from an African proverb, "When you pray, move your feet."
2007-2008 - "Revolution of the Heart" from Dorothy Day's words, "The greatest challenge of the day is: how to bring about a revolution of the heart, a revolution which has to start with each one of us?"
2006-2007 - "Rise Up" from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s words, "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'"
2005-2006 - "Building a Bridge" from Marianne Williamson's poetry
2004-2005 - "Be a Flea for Justice" from Marian Wright Edelman's The Measure of Our Success
