Rosie's Place
Placement
The first drop-in center/emergency shelter for women in the United States, Rosie's Place provides emergency resources and long-term assistance for poor and homeless women in Boston. While Rosie's provides a wide array of services for its guests, 4Boston volunteers will be assisting with the Women's Education Program. Volunteers will be matched with guests for one-on-one or small group tutoring in GED preparation or English as Second Language.
4Boston's Role
All volunteers work in the women's education program, doing one-on-one tutoring with women learning English or studying to get their GED.
Hours
Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
