Apply to 4Boston Volunteers

Service is integral to student life at boston college, and participation in student and academic service programs is highly promoted. As such, there are many ways to serve: PULSE, Appalachia Volunteers, Loyola Volunteers, Learning to Serve, and many more. 4Boston recognizes that there are many volunteer options, and coupled with the constraints of our placements and resources, 4Boston asks prospective volunteers to go through an application process that includes essays and an interview. There are limited spaces within 4boston, and the council determines which candidates will be able to make a full commitment of themselves to a volunteer placement, to a reflection group, and to the three pillars of 4Boston: community, spirituality, and social justice.

Apply to 4Boston Council

4Boston Council welcomes applications in April of each academic year for the upcoming academic year. 4Boston Council members serve for one full year, and they can serve for the duration of their undergraduate study at BC so long as their commitment to 4Boston's mission, ideals, and operations is renewed. Juniors studying abroad in the spring semester are eligible to apply for 4Boston council during December prior to their departure. Those studying abroad for the full year are able to apply during the spring and interviews will be conducted over the phone or through Skype.
