Charlestown Adult Eduction (Smart from the Start)
Placement
Located in Charlestown, Smart from the Start is a successful adult education program run for and by members of the community. Open five days a week, classes are offered during the normal public/private school hours so that parents with children can attend and obtain training to achieve their G.E.D. certificate.
4Boston's Role
Volunteers will serve as tutors within individual classrooms during subjects such as basic mathematics, reading/ESOL and computers. With motivated students and caring teachers, the Charlestown environment welcomes all volunteers.

Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30AM - 12:15PM or 10:30AM-2:15 PM
Tues/Thurs 8:30AM-12:15PMLocation
76 Monument Street - Take the Green Line to Haymarket, then the 93 bus to Charlestown. Get off at Lexington and Bunker Hill.
