BC Club to Host Debate by Bush, Gore Economic Advisors

Top economic advisors to presidential candidates Al Gore and George W. Bush will square off in a breakfast debate at the Boston College Club on Thursday, Oct. 5, as part of the club's Breakfast Speaker Series.

Alan Blinder, one of Gore's key economic advisors, will face Bush strategist Lawrence Lindsey in the event, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the club's Harbor Room at 100 Federal Street in Boston.

University Trustees chairman Charles I. Clough Jr., CEO of Clough Capital Partners and former chief investment strategist for Merrill Lynch and Co., will moderate the discussion.

The debate, which is already sold out, is co-sponsored by Boston College's Chief Executives Club of Boston and the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College.
