Sophomore Dies After Battle with Cancer

A funeral Mass was said Wednesday in St. Ignatius Church for Lynch School of Education sophomore Nancy E. Segal of Medford, formerly of Cambridge, who died Saturday at her home after a prolonged fight against cancer. She was 21.

"Nancy was a lovely young woman who cared deeply about her family , and she very much loved being at BC," said Maureen Raymond, assistant director of student services at LSOE, who advised Miss Segal .

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to her parents, Irwin and Carol Segal, 11 Poole St., Medford, Mass., 02159.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Miss Segal's memory to the Boston College Scholarship Fund.
