RARE WORK-Burns Librarian Robert O'Neill (center) and part-time faculty member Mariela Dakova (Slavic and Eastern Languages) examine a facsimile of a 1762 original manuscript "History of Bulgaria," presented last month to the library's Balkan Studies Collection by Dimitar Tomov, director of the St. Kliment Ohrididski University Press in Sofia, Bulgaria (right). The book was one of only three produced with a special binding; the others were given to Pope John Paul II and the King of Spain.
