March 9 SAS meeting postponed
The Staff Advisory Senate open meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 9 has been postponed. The event, which was to feature guest speakers Local Service Center Director Brenda Ricard and Rita Owens, service strategies leader for Project Delta, is now tentatively scheduled to take place during April. More information will be available later this month.
Masses for Lent begin March 12
The annual series of University Masses for Lent will be held at St. Maryís Chapel, beginning March 12 at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by the St. Maryís Schola conducted by Senior Lect. John Finney (Music), director of the University Chorale.
Celebrants for the Masses will be: March 12, Assoc. Prof. T. Frank Kennedy, SJ (Music); March 19, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston Emilio F. Allué, SDB; March 26, University Chancellor J. Donald Monan, SJ; April 2, Center for Ignatian Spirituality Director Howard J. Gray, SJ; April 9, Prof. Fr. Michael Himes (Theology); April 16, St. Maryís Chapel Prefect James C. OíBrien, SJ.
Romance Languages to host conference
The Romance Languages and Literatures Department will sponsor the Annual Graduate Conference on Romance Studies March 17-18 in Fulton Hall.
Titled "Truth, Memory, Imagination and Fiction," the conference will feature several panel discussions with American and foreign scholars.
