For the ninth consecutive year, Boston College employee contributions to the United Way of Massachusetts Bay have topped $100,000.
To date, more than $110,000 in pledges and gifts has been recorded in the annual United Way drive, according to campaign chairman Public Affairs Senior Media Relations Officer Reid Oslin. Approximately 1,100 employees have contributed to United Way so far this academic year, Oslin said.
Contributions to this yearís campaign are still being processed by United Way, Oslin said, and donations will be accepted through the end of February. Pledges and contributions may be sent to United Way of Massachusetts Bay, in care of the Office of Public Affairs, 50 College Rd.
Boston College employees contributed a campaign record $131,497 to United Way in 1998-99. Final figures for this year's drive will be available by early April, according to Oslin.
