School of the Americas Protest
SCHOOL OF THE AMERICAS PROTEST: Chaplain Donald MacMillan, SJ, is shown leading a group of six BC students in a protest at the US Army's School of the Americas in Georgia last month. They were among a number of people from around the country who called for the school's closure at the event, which came on the 10th anniversary of the murders of six Jesuits and two women at the University of Central America in El Salvador. The school has long trained military personnel from countries allied with the United States, including those who carried out the Jesuit murders.
