Dining Services' Stuhl Dies

Mark E. Stuhl, a former University Dining Service manager in Lyons Hall, died May 30 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a lifelong battle against cystic fibrosis. He was 40.

Stuhl, of Hyde Park, had lapsed into a coma several weeks previous following a double-lung transplant at the hospital. He had been awaiting the transplant since 1997, when he was placed on disability leave from his job of 17 years.

"People loved Mark," said Dining Service Director Patricia Bando. "He was vivacious and friendly and very well liked by his staff."

Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery in Roslindale.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main St., Natick, Mass. 01760.
